Back with Clarity (and Natural Fibers)

I’m rethinking my closet, my style, and how clothes connect to all aspects of my life. Here’s where we’re headed.

I’m back! After taking a little break to reflect, I’ve gotten clearer in a lot of areas of my life.

I’ve loved clothes for as long as I can remember, but there’s always been something that kept me at arm’s length in pursuing it professionally: the ethics of fast fashion, the (perceived) snobbiness of the industry, and the constant pressure to keep up and consume more. I didn’t love that part, but I did (and do!) still love clothes.

After some research and reflection, here’s what I’ve realized:

  • I’ve been caught in the cycle of constant consumption.

  • My health has been my number one priority for years, yet I hadn’t applied the same lens of health to my clothes until now.

  • Joy is deeply tied to our senses. Color, texture, and abundance signal life and vitality.

  • Getting dressed in a way that truly honors you is an act of courage and self-respect.

So where does that leave things?

From here on out, all the clothes I share will be made from natural fibers. The rough guidelines:

  • Organic materials prioritized.

  • Core fibers: cotton, linen, leather, silk, hemp, wool, cashmere, alpaca.

  • If something made of Tencel/Lyocell, bamboo, or modal is really good, it might make the cut.

  • Synthetic-heavy pieces (nylon, acrylic, polyester, elastane, etc.) will be avoided as much as possible. If they’re included (like in activewear), they’ll be under 20%.

Personally, I’m also on a shopping freeze with a few exceptions:

  • I’m doing a major closet clean-out and reconnecting with my evolving style.

  • Any new purchases must replace core items (workout clothes, bras, undies, socks, PJs) and must be natural fiber.

  • For styling clients, I’ll still shop outside these parameters, unless you want to join me on this natural fiber journey.

The focus here isn’t to get you to buy more. It’s about appreciating what you already have, making adjustments where needed, and when you do purchase, doing so thoughtfully. I love shopping and I’ll never claim I’m done with it completely, but I am ready to rethink my approach.

And because I know you’re curious what this actually looks like, here’s a styled outfit preview of what’s to come:

The goal isn’t to look like you just rolled out of an ayahuasca retreat in the Costa Rican jungle, ukulele in hand (though sign me up for that experience someday). It’s to be intentional in every area of life: in how we dress, spend our money, nourish our bodies, decorate our homes, and consume information and media. Every choice has a ripple effect, and when we make them with care, they build a life that feels aligned.

Because at the end of the day, cool girl style isn’t about trends — it’s about dressing in a way that feels authentic to you.

xo,

What’s Ahead

Along the way, I’ll also be sharing more about why natural fibers matter. Think of it as little doses of education to help you understand the health, environmental, and longevity benefits so you can make choices that actually feel good for you.
